Route 66 Group Party
2026 is the 100th anniversary of the famed Route 66, and we want to enhance your experience as you travel along that highway with your group!
Relive with us the excitement of the days when Route 66 went through Santa Fe! Learn about the history of Santa Fe's proud Hispanic culture as well as the modernization of the town through the arrival of Route 66 and how it affected the growth of our beautiful city! Numerous Route 66 decorations include life-size cardboard stand-ups of the famous Route 66 logo. Be sure to have your photo taken with that life-size logo for you to keep forever! Upon arrival at my home in Santa Fe, we offer a tour of my rose-filled gardens, followed by serving a delicious, fully-catered meal, and, then, we have our live DJ to set up his sound system of 10,000 songs to get everyone dancing! Minimum of 20 guests, with a maximum of 50 guests.
About The Party
This particular party is regularly produced in the solarium of my award-winning adobe Santa Fe home that has been featured on HGTV, due to its beautiful view of the nearby Sangre de Cristo mountains; unique southwestern design; the Spanish antiques I own, including replicas of the flags that flew in Spain in the early 1600’s; my artworks from many popular destinations around the globe, including religious artworks from many different countries that I have acquired in my travels; and my beautiful rose, lilac and tulip-filled gardens. My solarium can comfortably seat up to 50 guests at any one time, and is an ideal location for groups with a variety of needs, such as teas; luncheons; and themed dinners.
About Custom Tours
My firm owns its own event equipment, including our own tables; chairs; china; silver and glassware serving pieces; chafing dishes; 15 different changes of linens; props; sets; costumes, lighting systems; theatrical backdrops that I had made in Hollywood; and over 100 black and white cardboard standups of movie stars that go all the way back to the silent era, including famed entertainers; and Disney/Marvel characters. I had the theatrical backdrop that you see in these photos designed, specifically, for our Route 66 parties, and it stretches 20’ wide and stands 8‘ tall. We use our own pipe and drape to erect this backdrop and have our own crew to set up all the decorations you see in these photos. Each of our parties includes live entertainment, and during our “Route 66 “parties, we teach everyone how to do the Hokey Pokey, the Stroll, and have a singing contest, with us providing the lyrics to some of the most popular songs of the last few generations, such as “Splish Splash”, “Hound Dog”, and “Blueberry Hill”. We even show everyone how to perform the hula hoop, as you'll see below!
Themes and Custom Parties
We offer 15 pre-packaged parties, with varying themes, and usually produce our events in the solarium of my home, but we can alter our offerings to produce each of our events in much larger spaces, such as hotel ballrooms or convention centers, if the group should require a much larger space. If we produce your event in my personal home, it is only 10 minutes from the downtown Plaza; is located inside the city limits of Santa Fe; and is easily accessed from any of the roads in town. Other popular themes that we offer are: Western Bar-B-Ques, with “John Wayne”, “Roy Rogers”, and “Clint Eastwood” as “Rowdy Yates” in attendance; Mexican Fiestas, with a live mariachi band performing for your enjoyment and teaching everyone how to do the Mexican Hat Dance; A Salute to Elvis, with an Elvis impersonator contest to determine the best “Hunka, Hunka of Burning Love” winner; A Salute to Marilyn Monroe, with a contest of impersonators from your group to compete to be Loralei Lee as she sings the sultry song: “A Kiss on the Hand May Be Quite Continental, but Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend”; and A Movie Star Dinner (in which we have “auditions” for parts in the “upcoming” Casablanca film). For children’s groups, we offer Disney and Marvel-themed parties, including decorations from the “Superman”, “Cars”, “Pirates of the Caribbean”, and “Deadpool” films. In other words, each party is “full of foolishness”, and our groups just go crazy for each theme! If you have a request for any of the themes that we are not currently offering, just let us know, and we will be glad to develop a new theme, just for your group!
